Digital ID cards can be accessed 24/7 by creating an account with BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina online at southcarolinablues.com or by downloading the My Health Toolkit app to your smart phone or device. To create your account, you will need to use your Member ID number.

Follow these steps to find your Member ID:

1. Visit academichealthplans.com/findCoverage
2. Enter your school issued student ID number and date of birth
3. Click "Submit"

The following students are required to enroll for coverage in The Citadel Student Health Insurance Plan (or show proof of adequate alternate coverage):

1. Cadets who live on campus and are enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour.

All International students are required to obtain US health insurance coverage that meets federal and college standards before matriculation. Students who are required to have health insurance coverage should provide their insurance information using MUSC MyChart.

The following students are eligible to enroll for coverage in The Citadel Student Health Insurance Plan on a voluntary basis if they are enrolled at The Citadel:

1. Graduate of Professional Students enrolled in the graduate or professional degree program, taking at least one graduate level course, in good academic standing and making appropriate progress toward graduation.
2. Evening Undergraduate Program students who are enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours.

Continuation coverage is available for students who no longer meet eligibility. Student must have been enrolled in the previous semester to be eligible. Eligible students and their dependent(s) can purchase three (3) months of additional medical coverage. (Dental is not available.) Continuation must be purchased within thirty one (31) days of the current coverage termination date.
